Swindon Open Studios 2017

Hello,

The Swindon Open Studios will be starting soon in September. I will be showing artwork at the Swindon Central Library again this year. If you can go around and visit the various artists in their studios or "temporary studios" its well worth it. This year some artists will be available on Wednesday 13th September. If you go to the Swindon Open Studios website you will be able to find out more information about this event including The Old Town Art Trail and The Prize Draw.

Art Challenge- 15 Days of 15 minute Mixed Media-15/15

Here is 15/15-

Acrylic inks, gelato crayons, magazine and paper collage, stencils. 

This is the last mixed media piece of my Art Challenge- 15 Days of 15 Minute Mixed Media. It has been a bit tough at times to do as well as posting about it afterwards. Trying to stay within those 15 minutes was a challenge in itself. In a couple of days I think I will need to go back in the studio and do a big tidy up. These have provided me with lots of great ideas for larger paintings. Thanks for coming along with me on this artistic journey!

Happy Valentine's Day Prints

Hello,

Here are some heart inspired mixed media prints. I used acrylic paints, acrylic inks and oil pastels non-wax baking paper. The hearts and cherubs were done using foam stamps. I also stenciled on top of the prints using heart shaped cutouts.

Hello February! and Work In Progress...

Its nice to welcome February, I can't wait for Spring to be here and for some warmer, sunnier weather.

How are your New Years' resolutions working out for you(if you made any that is)?

 I added some pen detail on the leaf crown.

I also added texture to the background by using acrylic paints and stamps.
