Swindon Open Studios 2017

Hello,

The Swindon Open Studios will be starting soon in September. I will be showing artwork at the Swindon Central Library again this year. If you can go around and visit the various artists in their studios or "temporary studios" its well worth it. This year some artists will be available on Wednesday 13th September. If you go to the Swindon Open Studios website you will be able to find out more information about this event including The Old Town Art Trail and The Prize Draw.

Sorry I have been quiet...

Here is some work I did in my sketchbook back in April which I meant to post but never got around to it. They are all about 9"x 12" using mixed media-collage, acrylic paints, sprays, pencils, pens, stamps and stencils. I may change some of these or leave them as they are.

Art Challenge- 15 Days of 15 minute Mixed Media-1/15

In an effort to keep myself motivated and loosen up in my art, I decided to give myself an art challenge. And those of you who know me, know I like a challenge...

What I'm Working On...

Hello,

This is a piece that I'm working on now. I started it months ago but put it down to work on other smaller artwork. I tacked it to my bulletin board so I can see what it looks like hanging up. I did most of the work while it was on my small table in the studio. There are two others which are "sisters" to this one and will hang together when they are finished. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

New Lino Prints

Hello,

Here are some prints from two designs I carved out of lino. I used watercolour paper to print on, black , blue and yellow printmaking inks and in some of the prints I painted the background first with watercolour paints before I printed the designs on top. What do you think?
