Hello,

I have continued working on the sketches I started during the second SOS 2013 weekend. I decided I would do some work on our dining room table-my husband probably wonders when he will be able to see the table cloth underneath all the scraps of magazine, tracing paper and other art supplies. Here is a glimpse of the work-

SOS 2013 weekend 2...

Hello,

Yesterday was the last day of the Swindon Open Studios 2013. It was well attended overall and I really enjoyed participating in it. I met some really interesting people; some were visual artists, writers and others who just appreciate looking at Art. I was glad we had some children come to look at our work,  they showed great interest and asked some very interesting questions, which is always a good sign.

I look forward to next year's SOS 2014!

Here are some photos of sketches I did this weekend; I also added magazine cutouts to them. 

If you were not able to catch our exhibition, the work will remain at the Swindon Central Library in their Corridor Gallery till the end of the month.

SOS 2013 weekend 1...

Hello,

We had our first Swindon Open Studios 2013 this past weekend in and around Swindon. I was at the Swindon Central Library sharing the corridor space with Benoit Philippe and Margaret Sadler. It was very busy and attracted lots of interest. I didn't take many pictures but here are some snippets-

Work at The Core Gallery, Old Town, Swindon

Hello,

Swindon has a new place where artists can display their work- its The Core Gallery; upstairs at The Core Swindon-a new juice bar and holistic lounge. The current group exhibition will run till 26th September. I have three mixed media canvases on display. They plan on exhibiting more art in the future. If you are in the neighbourhood, why not stop by and look at the work and also try one of their delicious shakes.
